Fall Has Arrived at Mioposto
Fall is here, and we’re fully leaning into it. Roasted figs, creamy cheeses, prosciutto, warming spices, cozy cocktails—you get the idea. Basically, all the things we want to eat and drink when the weather starts to cool down.
First up: Fig & Prosciutto Pizza. We start with our Corto olive oil base, then add roasted figs, fontina, gorgonzola, caramelized onion, and prosciutto, with a balsamic drizzle to finish it off. Sweet, salty, cheesy, a little tangy. It’s got a lot going on, in the best way.
We’re keeping the fig situation going with our Burrata. Creamy burrata gets topped with roasted figs, prosciutto, arugula, pistachios, and balsamic, with warm Mio-baked bread on the side. Tear, dip, repeat.
And, of course, we made some new drinks.
The Woodland Spritz mixes Averna Amaro, chestnut liqueur, Prosecco, and lemon for a spritz that still feels bright and bubbly, just with a little more fall to it.
The Spice Merchant is for the bourbon crowd: bourbon, sherry, Angostura bitters, and cinnamon syrup. Warm, spiced, and pretty much made for a chilly night.
Then there’s the Velvet Chai, which might sound a little wild on paper—in a good way. Tequila, English Breakfast tea, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, cardamom, lemon, and sugar are clarified with milk to make it incredibly smooth and silky.
And because we apparently couldn’t stop there, we made a Lemon-Ginger Earl Grey Limoncello, too. Bright, citrusy, a little spicy, and a very good way to end the night.
That’s fall at Mio. Come grab a pizza, order a cocktail, get cozy, and stay awhile.
